Five tips to find your bearings in Balan Wonderworld

Game Ace Pro 0 0 Article rating: No rating

Welcome to the strangest, most whimsical, most fantastical musical show in town: Balan Wonderworld! The curtain is just about to lift as tomorrow, our humble show will be available worldwide for players of all ages to dive into.

In Balan Wonderworld, you’ll play as Leo or Emma, two kids who are dealing with an imbalance of positive and negative emotions within their hearts. Beckoned into the magical realm of Wonderworld by the enigmatic maestro Balan, you’ll need to restore the balance to the hearts of twelve lost souls, and in doing so, hopefully recover balance in Leo or Emma’s heart, also.

As soon as you step through the stage door and arrive on the Isle of Tims in Wonderworld, you’ll quickly discover that there are plenty of mysteries to unravel. Today, I wanted to share some of my top tips to help get you started on your way, along with revealing a couple secrets that the game has in store for you.

It’s showtime!

Your wardrobe is meant to be changed

While the Isle of Tims is the true hub of the game, the Changing Room is your home away from home. You can access the Changing Room at any checkpoint, and handily, it stores all your spare costumes.

The Changing Room is perfect for grabbing spare costumes as a buffer for your health, or for swapping your wardrobe around to solve a particular puzzle. Keep in mind that you may not be able to access all areas of a particular stage the first time you visit it. The Changing Room is key to exploring all there is once you’ve gathered more costumes from later stages.

Tims are your new best friends

These fluffy and colorful creatures are manifestations of positive emotions. They’re also your constant companions on your adventure to restore balance to the hearts of twelve lost souls.

One thing to keep in mind is that the color of your Tims makes a difference, as Tims will have different abilities at their disposal based on this. For example, blue Tims can sometimes destroy objects shrouded in negativity (they’ll look pretty spiky), while pink Tims can sometimes bring items from someplace else to you. It’s also worth noting that you can bring up to one Tim with you into a stage by holding that Tim in your arms while you access the door to that particular stage. Be sure to keep an eye out for any eggs on your adventure, as you never know what color of Tims you may hatch.

Try doling out the drops on all the flower patches!

But it’s not enough just to keep an eye out for eggs—you also need to take care of the Tims you have. You can feed them the teardrop shaped drops you’ll find throughout the different stages. These will help your Tims grow, give them new attributes, and even change their color.

You can feed your Tims by doling out drops on the colored flower patches on the Isle of Tims. Why not try giving out drops on each colored patch and see what happens?

Potion Types

Customers want different types of potions. Potions differ by size and color. Need a green potion? Just mix a yellow and a blue. Need a black one? That requires you to prepare some coal.

Building the shop

When you start your shop, it will be empty and run down. It’s your task to add furniture, tools, and decorations to the store. Step by step, your shop will improve and provide more ways to create various potions. Each new stage introduces new items to use and challenges to overcome.

Storage

When you’re not actively helping a customer, use downtime to your advantage. Pre-produce some potions and put them in your storage area. The next time a customer needs one of these potions, you already have one at hand. You should also have some candy ready to make customers happy that need to wait a little longer. Especially when playing in co-op mode, managing your shop storage area is an important task to get customers served as quickly as possible.

Defend against monsters

Shortly after your shop opens, you will get unwanted visitors. Slimes, ghosts and thieves of different types will invade your store and try to s

Immortals Fenyx Rising – Myths of the Eastern Realm is out today on PS4 and PS5, letting players embark on an all-new DLC adventure inspired by Chinese mythology and led by the team at Ubisoft Chengdu. Focusing on a new hero – Ku, the last remaining human following a catastrophic event – the DLC unfolds in a new land of clouds and jagged mountain peaks, where players battle to help the goddess Nuwa pull reality back from falling into primordial chaos.

Set against the backdrop of the classic Chinese myth Nuwa Mends the Heavens – in which Nuwa, the Chinese creator goddess, restores balance after a catastrophic war in Heaven – the DLC weaves together elements from the earliest period of Chinese mythology. As they explore the verdant, legendary land of Peng Lai and its rugged, arid neighbor Bu Zhou, players will discover a wide variety of environmental puzzles, formidable monsters, and elements of myths that have largely been unexplored in video games.

Meet Ku, a formidable warrior and your new hero

While he shares Fenyx’s whimsical, slightly naive outlook, Ku is a formidable warrior right out the gate. From the outset, he’s able to immediately wield a Jian sword, an axe, and a bow to wreck the DLC’s new monsters, using a new fighting style and combat inspired by Chinese martial arts. He can climb rocky cliffs with a hefty reserve of stamina; double-jump without wings (although he does get wings early on); and wield godly abilities like Pangu’s Strength, Yi’s Arrows, and Nuwa’s Agility, which strikes enemies as Ku dashes through them.

Additionally, two of Ku’s powers – the Blades of Huang Di and the Axe of Yan Di, which can launch enemies with upward-thrusting blades and smash them with a giant axe, respectively – can unleash additional attacks as Ku charges up a new, three-tier God Seal combo meter. Get in enough uninterrupted strikes, and the Blades of Huang Di launch a flurry of whirling swords that target enemies directly, while the Axe of Yan Di generates devastating, fiery shockwaves on impact.

New dungeons and puzzles await

The DLC also features an assortment of new puzzle elements, including w
